W.E.B. Du Bois Regional Middle School

Week at a Glance, News and Notes

March 31, 2023

Note from the Principal:

We had some very exciting and important news announced this week.  I am so happy and pleased that Miles Wheat will be our Principal at Du Bois next year!  There are so many reasons I am appreciative that he will take over the leadership of the middle school.  The most important is that he has helped us build the vision of the school in collaboration with educators, students and families over the many years he has been the assistant principal.  Miles taking over as principal means the vision and progress we have made will continue–he is a part of it already.  The way we are student centered, progressive and inclusive will remain the core of our program.  I love the values that Miles brings to his leadership: collaboration, team building, integrity and listening, along with organized and deliberate action.  He is also just a fun person who loves working with the kiddos we share–your children and our students.  Please join me in congratulating him in his upcoming role.  As this year closes you will start to hear more from Miles, so stay tuned!

Please drop me a note if you have feedback or questions at ben.doren@bhrsd.org

Be well,

Ben Doren

Principal

Project 351 Clothing Drive

Some of our students have organized the annual Project 351 clothing drive from March 20th until March 31st! Project 351 is a student based organization dedicated to giving back to the community in as many ways as possible all throughout Massachusetts! One of the ways we do that is our clothing drive! We invite you to donate new or lightly used clothing (no tears, stains, or any type of major wear). We encourage you to go through your children’s old clothes, and if they are in good condition, to donate them! We are accepting sizes from infant all the way to adult medium along with accepting all types of clothes! Thanks for your time and thanks for your future donations!  Donation box in the lobby by the office.
