Principal's Message

Good Afternoon Du Bois Families,

This week is both Educator Appreciation Week and National Nurses Week–and Wednesday was National School Nurses Day.

I have served in four Berkshire County school districts over the past 24 years. In every district and in every school, I have been so amazed at the quality and compassion of the folks who do the work of educating and caring for kids in the Berkshires. The teachers, paraprofessionals, and school nurses I have had the honor of serving alongside of are simply amazing people, and extraordinary professionals. I say that as a colleague, and as the dad of three Berkshire County-educated children.

We are blessed in this community by people whose brains and hearts are in equal extraordinary measure in the service of children.

Thank you to our Du Bois PTO families for their warm shows of thanks this week. And thanks to all of you every day for being partners along with our educators and school nurse in making Du Bois a safe and welcoming place to learn and grow.

Have a peaceful weekend,

Jake M.
